This installation piece was conceived in-situ at TYS Exhibition Space in Copenhagen.
Relating to the existing parameters of the exhibition space, Stand In, provokes a heighten sense of gravity in the gallery, that corresponds with the tactility of human bodies.
A series of voids, that had been identified from existing concrete kerbs in the room, are replaced with a mixture of aspahlt. This created a continuous black kerb that framed the room, constructing a relationship between the invisible and the in-formed.
Accompanying the gesture of a road-line, skin, akin to a piece of road; also stumbles upon encountered emptiness. Digital shreds of printed skin surfaces either hangs freely or are trapped beneath the asphalt, staging a camaraderie between image, freedom and pressure.
